He is a mild-mannered, well-respected bass player that just is in the wrong place at the wrong time. After he is accused of robbery, Manny's life begins to slowly unravel and he can't seem to prove himself innocent. Even his wife, Rose (Vera Miles), begins to feel the pressure of having a husband who is being hailed as a criminal, and she begins to question her role in his life. The movie is based on a true story and is filmed as a semi-documentary. The movie perfectly couples the factual documentary style, with the gripping tale of the drama that surround the real case of Manny Balestero, a coveted nightclub musician.
