The X-Files: I Want to Believe is a 2008 science-fiction film that continues the story of the popular television series of the same name. Several years after leaving the FBI, Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) reunite to try and find a missing FBI Agent, Monica Bannan (Xantha Radley). They are assisted in their investigation by a defrocked priest named Father Joe (Billy Connolly), who has had visions about the crime. After another woman is kidnapped, Father Joe has another vision, which leads he and Mulder to the gruesome discovery of a room filled with human body parts. While there, Fox finds the severed head of Agent Bannan. Evidence at the scene leads Fox to suspect a man named Franz Tomczeszyn (Fagin Woodcock), who was molested by Father Joe years ago. Ultimately, Mulder and Scully must determine why Tomczeszyn is kidnapping people and how it ties into the room full of human body parts.
