The Collectors is a 1999 action thriller directed by Sidney J. Furie. Sent to New York City to collect on past due debts, Ray (Rick Fox) and A.K. (Casper Van Dien) quickly find themselves in over the heads. With instructions to bring back the money or dispose of the debtor, A.K. begins to suffer pangs of conscience. Ray is more cynical about his profession. His philosophy is to keep his head down, get his work done, and let somebody else worry about the morality of his actions. As the two battle to keep on track, they dodge Det Bailey (Catherine Oxenberg), a New Orlean's cop gone bad, who has a personal vendetta against both men. Meanwhile, Ray's personal life and a wide range of low-life characters enter the scene, further complicating their lives. In the end, Ray and A.K.'s plan to escape their dilemma brings them to a bloody showdown in the streets of New York.
