Them is a 2007 French horror film that places a young couple in a remote country house in Romania. Clementine (Olivia Bonamy) and Lucas (Micha''l Cohen) have moved from their native France to a remote area outside of Bucharest, Romania named Snagov. Lucas works on his novel, while Clementine teaches French at the local school. They enjoy their peaceful life in the countryside without the bother of neighbors and crowds. Until late one night, when they are awakened by noises outside their home and see their car driven away by strangers. Before they can contact the authorities, the electricity goes out and the phone line is dead. As they look around their large, sprawling property, they see their gate has been broken into. They start to see shadowy figures dashing around the house and gardens, but cannot clearly see what or how many trespassers surround them. David Moreau and Xavier Palud co-direct this creepy suspense tale.
