They Call Me Bruce? is a 1982 comedy directed by Elliot Hong. The film follows a Korean immigrant (Johnny Yune) who comes to America in search of his grandfather's old girlfriend. In America, he takes a cooking job in Los Angeles working with the mob to make ends meet. The gangsters begin to call him Bruce because they believe he looks like the famous martial arts fighter, Bruce Lee. When Bruce accidentally foils a robbery at a local market and becomes a local hero in the newspaper, Bruce's boss, Lil Pete (Bill Capizzi), sees an opportunity. The gangsters have been having problems with their cocaine deliveries. Too many of their deliveries have been intercepted by the police. Lil Pete has the bright idea of making Bruce his delivery man. In a last ditch attempt, Lil Pete sends Bruce on a cross country trip to New York via limousine, with mob stooge Freddy (Raf Mauro) as his driver, to distribute the cocaine. With Bruce believing he is delivering flour, misunderstandings are sure to arise.
