Thick as Thieves is a 1998 American film directed by Scott Sanders and starring Alec Baldwin, Andre Braugher, Michael Jai White, Bruce Greenwood, and Rebecca De Mornay. The film is based on a novel of the same name by Patrick Quinn. When two criminals go head to head in their attempt to eliminate any competition, a war breaks out between gangsters. Mackin (Baldwin) is a season professional in the sport of burglary. He commits himself to a job, finishes and then goes back to living his life of solitude with his jazz records and his dog Wally. Pointy (White) is quite the opposite. He enjoys high-class living with golfing at the country club and dinners at his fancy French restaurant being his regular activities. Mackin is hired to do a job for Pointy, but Pointy double-crosses him. Mackin then spends most of the film plotting his revenge. As the mafia gets tired of both Mackin and Pointy, tensions escalate to an unbearable high.moreless
