Think Tank

Movie Summary

Director:
Brian Petersen
Released:
2006
Rating:
PG
Think Tank is an indie comedy written and directed by Brian Petersen, in the vein of Napoleon Dynamite. Four ambitious 20-something slackers form an exclusive club of righteous intellectual wannabes known as the "Think Tank" after their first invention gains some fame for the group. Unfortunately, their actual intelligence does not match up with their perceived intellectual abilities; in fact, their "intelligence" is sometimes plain stupidity. Their favorite hangout, Jon's Pool Hall, is in danger of being put out of business by the new, monolithic "Palace of Pool" and its greedy land-grabbing owner, Lord Billiards (Gordon Goodman). In order to save their hangout, the four must put their abilities on the line and truly use their intelligence to save the hangout. A glimmer of hope arises when the four begin to perfect the new game of "frictionless pool," but will it be enough for them to save their local hangout from the forces of greed?
