Thrashin' is a 1986 skateboarding film directed by David Winters. Amateur skateboarder Cory Webster (Josh Brolin) is Los Angeles from out of town to compete a downhill skating competition. While skating in LA, he meets a girl named Chrissy (Pamela Gidley) who is also from out of town. The two begin to fall for each other, despite the fact that she is the sister of Tommy Hook (Robert Rusler), leader of the evil "Daggers" gang. Hook's objection to Cory hanging around with his sister leads Cory's gang, the Ramp LOCALS!, to be at odds with Cory. Cory and Chrissy decide to see each other no matter what anyone else says which leads the Daggers to have a showdown with Cory in the form of a jousting contest. In the contest, Cory's arm is broken and Chrissy threatens to go back to Indiana. With no skate crew, no girl, and a broken arm; Cory must still face off against the Daggers in the downhill skateboarding competition.moreless
