Thunder Over Arizona, directed by Joseph Kane, is a western starring Tim Mallory (Skip Homeier), Fay Warren (Kristine Miller), and Mayor Ervin Plummer (George Macready). Tim Mallory is mistaken for a notorious gunman and unfortunately becomes involved with a greedy two-timing Mayor and his fellow bandits. Their main goal is to take over a silver mine from Fay Warren, who falls in love with Tim Mallory. They work together secretly to take back what is hers and overcome greedy mine grabbers. This classic western drama is filled with romance, suspense, and action as well as the constant turn of good guy vs. bad guy. It is now in trucolor and has a runtime of 75 minutes. This film was the second Republic feature to be lensed in the short-lived naturama widescreen process. The film's subtext that lust for wealth can destroy the souls of otherwise decent people is cleverly woven into the plot.
