Thunder Town tells the story of Jim Brown (Bob Steele) returning to his old stomping grounds after being released from prison on a framed charge of robbery in order to find evidence that will prove his innocence. All the while he is taunted by Dunc Rankin (Edward Howard) for being a chicken. However, Jim, is told by the Sheriff Matt Warner (Steve Clark) that he best stay on his best behavior or he will be sent straight to prison for good. Jim struggles with keeping himself composed and staying true to himself throughout the entire movie. His friend Betty (Ellen Hall) helps him along the way. Thunder Town features plenty of fist throwing action and a lot of exciting stunts courtesy of Bud Geary (Chuck Wilson) and Bud Osbourne (Henry Carson). The film was produced by Releasing Corporation and was released in 1946. The original screenplay was written by Oliver Drake. The film was directed by Harry L. Fraser.
