Thundering Caravans is a 1952 Western film directed by Harry Keller. It follows the story of U.S Marshal Rocky Lane (Allan Lane), who is sent to help sheriff Nugget Clark (Eddy Waller) in the gold-mining town of Edgewater. A series of crimes have taken place, including the stealing of gold shipments and the murder of a driver. The sheriff is receiving a lot of criticism from the miners, who are the victims of the robberies, and also from the local newspaper editors, Deborah Cranston (Isabel Randolph) and her brother Bert (William Henry). As it turns out, the Cranstons are the ones that were behind the criminal activity and hired ruthless outlaws to execute the job. The plan was to make the sheriff look bad in front of the town people and lower his chances in the upcoming election. Using her evil scheme, Deborah Cranston is promoting her son as possibly the new town sheriff. Rocky Lane is caught in the middle and has to solve this conflict to put an end to the injustice going on in Edgewater.moreless
