Titan A.E. is an animated science fiction adventure set far in the future. Fifteen years after the destruction of earth, Cale Tucker (Matt Damon) unknowingly holds the key to the survival of the human race. Cale's father Sam (Ron Perlman) gave his son a ring before disappearing aboard his ship the Titan. Living in fear of the Drej, the energy based race that destroyed Earth, Cale befriends a fellow galactic drifter in Captain Joseph Korso (Bill Pullman). Korso helps Cale understand the true meaning of the ring given to him by his father. Sam built the Titan with a secret mechanism that is capable of forming a new home world which would reunite all of humanity. Together with Korso's co-pilot Akima (Drew Barrymore), Cale must find his father's ship if there is to be a future for humanity. This adventure film was released in 2000 and co-directed by Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and Art Vitello.
