To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar is a zany comedy about three optimistic and confident drag queens from New York City on a road trip to Hollywood that seem to change the lives of all that they encounter. Noxeema Jackson (Wesley Snipes) and Vida Boheme (Patrick Swayze) are two veteran drag queens that have just won roundtrip airplane tickets and a chance to compete against other drag queens from all over America in Hollywood after co-winning New York City's Drag Queen of the Year award. They decide to sell the tickets and buy a beat-up Cadillac convertible to give another young and somewhat naive drag queen a chance to go with them to Hollywood. Their plans take an abrupt turn when their trusty Cadillac breaks down in the middle of Snydersville, Pennsylvania. There they find a sleepy little town with a more old-fashioned ideals than what they are used to in New York. Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar is a story about the hilarity and oftentimes heartfelt situations that arise from this unlikely juxtaposition.moreless
