Tobe Hooper's Night Terrors is a 1995 horror film directed by Tobe Hopper. In the movie, Eugenie "Genie" Mattheson has just arrived in Alexandria, Egypt, to visit her Christian father, Dr. Mattheson (William Finley). Dr. Mattheson is busy working on an archaeological dig site in Alexandria. The archaeologist is grateful to see his daughter, who he adores, but does not have much time to spend with her when she arrives. Soon after settling in Alexandria, Genie makes friends with Sabina (Alona Kimhi), while walking around downtown Alexandria. Unbeknownst to Genie, Sabina also has a personal relationship with her father, Dr. Mattheson. Through Sabina, Genie is introduced to Mahmood (Juliano Merkhamis) and Paul Chevalier (Robert Englund). Mahmood and Genie eventually begin to see each other, but Paul has his eyes on Genie, and her father's archeological site, for a completely different reason. Is Genie safe in Alexandria, or does her father's work put her in unseen danger?
