Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring is an animated direct-to-DVD movie released in 2002 starring the famed cat and mouse duo Tom and Jerry. A young wizard entrusts Tom to take care of the magic ring he uses in potions while he sets off to retrieve rare ingredients. When Tom turns his back, Jerry gets a hold of his ring and gets it stuck to on his head. Chases ensue as Tom tries to get the ring off of Jerry's head and save himself from the punishment of his wizard caretaker. The magic powers of the ring add an extra wrinkle, as every time Tom gets close to getting a hold of the ring, something happens to keep the chase going. The film also features appearances from other Tom and Jerry characters including Droopy, Spike the Dog and his son Tyke. This film is the first Tom And Jerry movie to recreate the style of the classic cartoons and precedes other films like Tom and Jerry Shiver Me Whiskers.moreless
