Tommy and the Cool Mule is a 2009 family comedy directed by Andrew Stevens. It tells the story of Tommy Braxton (Grant Barker), a bright kid who suddenly finds himself as being the only man in his family after his father dies in a war zone. Difficult times are ahead and Tommy wants to do everything in his power to support his mother and sister by saving the family's farm. His aspirations are closer to becoming true when he makes a funny new friend, Jackie A. (voice of Ice-T), a talking mule. Together the pair of friends is determined to show everyone that everything is possible, and that dreams can come true if you believe in a little magic. They find out about an upcoming horse race organized at the local fair. Tommy and Jackie put a stunning performance for the audience at the county stock show, proving themselves above the school bullies and their horses.
