Top Dog is a 1995 action crime comedy directed and written by Aaron Norris. A K-9 cop, Reno (Betty), loses his human partner and needs another before he can return to the force. Police captain Ken Callahan (Clyde Kusatsu) thinks currently suspended officer, Jake Wilder (Chuck Norris), may be the perfect partner for Reno. When Jake is approached about the subject, he adamantly disapproves of the partnership. However, he learns if he wants to continue on the police force, he must do what the police captain tells him to do. When the reluctant partners begin working together, they endure a series of dramatic events that force them to figure out how to work together. A group of terrorists have invaded their town and Reno and Jake must find a way to catch them before it is too late. Can the trusty K-9 officer and the wildly behaved Jake catch the terrorists, or will their forced relationship thwart their investigation?
