Topio'Stin'Omichli or Landscape in the Mist is a moving 1988 film centered around two hopeful children who embark on a quest to find their missing father. The film was written and directed by internationally acclaimed Greek filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos (Traveling Players, Eternity and a Day, Ulysses' Gaze). Landscape in the Mist follows two children - Voula (Tania Palaiologou) and Alexandros (Michalis Zeke) - as they travel across Europe to find their father who is believed to live in the promise land, or, Germany. They find themselves in several life-altering situations along the way - some of them good, others scarring. At first, Voula and Alexandros tag along with a clan of young actors who show them many wonderful things. But they also fall victim to a horrible event that forces them to grow up fast. Topio Stin Omichli is a great foreign drama for everyone who enjoys stories on childhood, adventure, and coming of age.
