Toxic Crusaders: The Movie is an animated comedy based on of the short-run television show of the same name. Toxic Crusaders is a spin-off of a 1984 film called The Toxic Avenger which follows the adventures of a janitor turned super hero from toxic waste. Toxic Crusaders: The Movie stars Toxie (David Mattey), the mutant hero from The Toxic Avenger, and his band of power friends as they race to save the world from pollution and educate children about the dangers of nuclear waste. The group needs to rescue a band of students that are being held prisoner by an evil band of villains who want to destroy the world with pollution. The film is filled with jokes that are aimed for adults rather than kids, often going over children's heads with their adult undertones. The film is actually the first three episodes of the television series compressed into a feature length movie.
