Toy Soldiers is a 1991 drama about a group of terrorists who hold an all-male private school hostage, not realizing the greatest threat to their plan is the group of elite students they're holding at gunpoint. Luis Cali is a Colombian terrorist whose father, a drug kingpin, has been extradited to the United States to stand trial. Luis is hyper-violent and ruthless. His determination to free his father leads him to bring a group of terrorists to Regis High School, a prep school for the sons of some of the United States' most powerful figures. Luis and his crew see the spoiled rich kids as easy bargaining chips. What they don't realize is that Regis Highâaffectionately called Rejects High by the studentsâis a school for the rebellious troublemakers the other prep schools couldn't keep in line. Sean Astin plays Billy Tepper and Wil Wheaton plays Joey Trotta, two best friends who are known for their anti-authority pranks and rebel attitude. Along with their friends, they devise a plan to overthrow the terrorists. Toy Soldiers is an action-packed thriller featuring a stellar ensemble cast of young actors.
