Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day is a 2009 comedy mockumentary from filmmaker Mike Clattenburg. Following the popular Trailer Park Boys television show, Countdown to Liquor Day is not a direct sequel to Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, but the finale for the entire franchise. The film chronicles the return of Ricky (Robb Wells), Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Bubbles (Mike Smith) to the Sunnyvale trailer park after a stint in prison. Upon arriving home, however, the men find Sunnyvale in ruin and on the verge of demolition. Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth) has already opened up a newer, nicer park nearby. To make matters worse, the boys' plans to better their lives after prison-they include small-time theft, opening an auto-body shop, and earning a high school degree-each appear doomed for failure. Running short on ways to save themselves and their home, the boys' must put their newfound freedom in jeopardy and try their hands at robbing a bank.
