Movie Summary

Michael Bay

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the second movie in the live-action series based on the classic animated series about the robots in disguise, the Transformers. Thousands of years ago a race of ancient Transformers traveled the universe using Sun Harvesters to drain stars of their energy to fuel their Cybertron's AllSpark. The group was known as the Dynasty of Primes, and they agreed to spare life-bearing worlds, though one brothers, The Fallen, constructed a harvester on earth. When the other brothers sacrificed themselves to hide the key to the Sun Harvester, the Matrix of Leadership, The Fallen swore revenge upon Earth. Optimus Prime is now working with human troops and his Autobots, including classic characters Bumblebee, Jetfire, Jazz, and newcomers Sideswipe and Jolt, to kill the remaining Decepticons. The Decpticons, led by Megatron, including Devastator, Soundwave, Starscream, and Grimlock, are being used by The Fallen to try to locate the Matrix of Leadership. When Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) finds a splinter of the AllSpark, he becomes a target as The Fallen instructs the Decepticons to find him and remove his brain to find the Matrix. Now the Autobots must fight to destroy the Decepticons and The Fallen before he can destroy the planet.

Little seems new compared to the first installment, except that this version is longer, louder, and perhaps "more than your eye can meet" in one sitting.
