Transmorphers: Fall of Man, a prequel to Transmorphers, is a 2009 science fiction film directed by Scott Wheeler. At an air force base near Los Angeles, a scientist picks up a strange signal coming from outer space. Soon after the signal is detected, cell phones, satellite dishes and other common technologies begin to transform into evil robots. Using their advanced artificial intelligence, the machines decide that humans are a threat and should be annihilated. The robots begin their ferocious assault on humans, while also trying to turn the world's environment into a more hospitable place for their own kind. In the middle of this battle between machines and humans, police officers Hadley Ryan (Bruce Boxleitner) and Dr. Jo Summers (Jennifer Rubin) are both fighting to uncover the truth behind the robotic attacks. When the government decides to take drastic actions against the machines, humanity suddenly finds itself in even more peril and begins to fight for survival.
