The daughter of the original's convenience store proprietor Walter Chang from has taken over the shop, now grown Mindy came back to live with her mom since she couldn't afford her studies, survivalist Burt Gummer is all prepared for an eventual new Graboid-attack and a young man named Jack has settled in town to make a living out of fake Graboid safaris. Then the unexpected happens - three graboids are monitored by Burt's radar. Burt wants to act fast since he knows they'll turn into Shriekers soon, but he's being held up by Washington who protect the giant worms and want to catch them alive for scientific research.
