Trick Baby, a 1973 movie based on a novel by Iceberg Slim, stars Kiel Martin and Mel Stewart. The pair portrays two con artists. "Blue" Howard (Stewart) teaches White Folks (Martin) how to be a con artist. Due to White Folks' (Martin's) light complexion, the pair is able to play on people's prejudice and pull off several race-related scams. Their biggest scam earns them over 130,000 dollars; however, in the process of trying to collect money from the scam, a previous scam gets in the way. One of the victims of another scam had connections in the police force and the mafia. When corrupt cops and the mafia find out about their newest scam, both groups want a share of the profit. Folks and Howard realize that they are in over their heads. They must choose between risking their lives to collect the loot of their latest scam or leaving town before things get too messy.
