Troop Beverly Hills is the kind of girl scout troop every girl would want to have been in. When Phyllis Nefler's (Shelley Long) husband Freddy "the muffler man" Nefler (Craig T. Nelson) decides to walk out on their marriage, Phyllis decides to spend more time with her daughter. Phyllis becomes her daughter Hannah's (Jenny Lewis) troop leader. When their camping trip gets rained out, they continue the camp-out at a fancy Beverly Hills Hotel. After that turns out well Phyllis makes her own badges for the girls to earn. The district leader Velda Plendor (Betty Thomas) doesn't like the way Phyllis is running her troop. Velda is jealous of the fun Phyllis' girls are having. The Beverly Hills troop also takes away the top spot in cookie sales from Velda's troop, so she plots to get them disbanded. There are a lot of laughs and sweet moments, and the feel good ending will help put you in a happy mood.
