True Blood, released in 1989, is the story of Raymond Trueblood (Jeff Fahey) in his return to New York City after leaving it ten years previous when he was framed for murder by an enemy of a rival gang, Billy Masters (Billy Drago). Unfortunately when Ray is forced to leave New York, he must also leave behind his brother Donny (Chad Lowe). When Ray returns to the city to reunite with his brother he finds that not only does Donny not want to reunite with Ray, but also is now a part of Billy Masters' gang. Immersed in the underworld of gangs and violence, Donny has been raised to hate his brother and loathes his return to the city. When the police discover that Ray has returned the pursuit to apprehend him on account of the murder ten years previous is resumed. Written and Directed by Frank Kerr, True Blood also stars Sherilyn Fenn, James Tolkan, and Ken Foree.
