Truth or Consequences, N.M. is a 1997 neo-noir film about an ex-convict that is bent on revenge. Tough mafia-man Raymond Lembecke (Vincent Gallo) has just been released from prison on drug charges that he took on for his mob boss Tony Vago (Rod Steiger). Upon revisiting his old-friend, Raymond expects due compensation for being put away for years on his behalf. Unfortunately Raymond gets stuck with a lack-luster job at a local warehouse, leaving him with bitter feelings for Tony, and ultimately decides to heist a million dollars worth of drugs from his former benefactor. Coworker Marcus Weans (Mykelti Williamson) and Raymond team up with "butter-fingers" Curtis Freley (Kiefer Sutherland), and during the heist, wind up shooting an undercover DEA agent that is wearing a wire. The trio flees town for good measure and heads to Las Vegas where they can sell the drugs quickly. While finishing up drug sales, the group kidnaps a couple that own an RV and head out to Mexico. Meanwhile a cold and calm hit-man named Sir (Martin Sheen) is tailing them to make sure the mafia is not forgotten.moreless
