Tunnel Rats is a violent war drama directed by Uwe Boll. This film was unscripted and improvised throughout by the actors. The movie tells the tale of a United States special operations force that was sent to Vietnam during the war to fight the enemy in a series of intricate underground tunnels created by the Viet Cong for jungle warfare. Lieutenant Vic Hollowborn (Michael Pare), Corp. Dan Green (Wilson Bethel), Private Peter Harris (Mitch Eakins), Private Carl Johnson (Erik Eidem) and the rest of the specially trained group crawl through the dark tunnels. They engage in brutal hand to hand combat with the enemy in order to drive them out of the tunnels so they do not resurface and attempt surprise attacks against the U.S. forces in other areas. The madness of war is apparent during the bloody battle as the two opposing forces maim and kill each other in the name of war.
