Turnbuckle is a 2003 comedy that takes a funny but scandalous look at a professional wresting community. In the film, Kimberly Beckmen (Jocelyn Ahlf) is a reporter for Entertainment X, who is more concerned about getting a good scoop for TV than she is about people and their feelings. Kimberly delves into the underground world of the professional wrestling league, W.A.N.C., to watch the tag-team competition that narrows down to the championship match. This highly talked about match is between tag-team Destroyer (Chris Craddock) and Cannonball (Wes Borg) and their rival tag-team Cowboy (Bill Minsky) and Jeff "The Indian" Osbourne (Jeff Halaby). She is there for the match but is really looking for scandals and gossip that she can report on. With the use of hidden cameras and a corrupt psychiatrist, Dr. Melvin Gibson (Dana Anderson), Kimberly is able to dig up dirt on the whole team - and she has the evidence to prove it. She will unveil secrets that the outside world was never supposed to know including dangerous injuries, thoughts of retirement, homosexuality, homophobia and mental illness.moreless
