Twilight is a 1998 neo-noir thriller featuring an all-star cast that includes Academy Award winners Paul Newman, Susan Sarandon, Gene Hackman, Reese Witherspoon, Academy Award nominee James Garner, and Emmy and Tony Award winner Stockard Channing. Newman plays Harry Ross, a former cop who now makes a living as a private investigator. After taking a bullet to the thigh while working a case, Ross settled into his official retirement with two close friends, Jack and Catherine Ames. Jack, played by Gene Hackman, is slowly dying of cancer. Susan Sarandon plays Jack's wife, Catherine, who takes care of Jack and Harry. Just when it seems the three old friends are prepared to quietly live out the remainder of their twilight years, Jack asks Harry for one more favor that blows open a long-kept secret about what really happened to Catherine's ex-husband. Twilight is a star-studded mystery full of intriguing twists and wonderful performances from its cast of veteran actors.
