Twilight in the Sierras is a 1950 western that stars Roy (Roy Rogers) as a United States Marshall in Morongo County in the Sierras. Judge Amos Wiggins (Edward Keane) runs a sheep farm that enlists the help of ex-convicts on parole. Ricardo Chavez (Russ Vincent) writes to his sister, Lola (Estelita Rodriguez) who lives in Chile, and tells her that he owns the sheep farm. Much to Ricardo's horror, Lola is en route to visit him, but before she arrives, Ricardo is kidnapped by Mason (Fred Kohler, Jr.) and Blake (Pierce Lynden), who work for Matt Brunner (George Meeker). Matt wants Ricardo because he is a talented engraver and wants him to counterfeit some gold certificates. Lola wanders into town and Matt tells Ricardo that he will murder her if he does not do the engraving. Roy, with the help of Deputy Pat (Dale Evens), must corner the bad guys together if peace is to be restored to Morongo County. This film also features the Riders of the Purple Sage.moreless
