Twilight of the Ice Nymphs / Archangel are two films from the famous Canadian director Guy Maddin. In the 1997 film Twilight of the Ice Nymphs, Peter Glahn (Nigel Whitney) returns to the fiery land of Mandragora. On his voyage to the mystical land, he meets a stunning young woman named Julianna (Pascale Bussieres) and falls in love with her. The only problem is that she disappears after he sees her the lone time. Will Peter ever find his heart's love again? In Archangel, Lieutenant John Boles (Kyle McCulloch) finds himself arriving in the crystalline city Archangel during the first world war. The residents of Archangel are confused people as they mistakenly think that they are married to complete strangers. Lieutenant Boles finds himself in a chaotic mess when he falls for a woman by the name of Veronhka (Kathy Marykuca). However, Veronhka is already married to another man, but she thinks Boles is actually her husband.
