Movie Summary

David Lynch (I)
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me is a prequel and continuation of the television series, Twin Peaks. As the film begins, FBI agents Chet Desmond (Chris Isaak) and Sam Stanley (Kiefer Sutherland) are investigating the gruesome murder of a woman named Teresa Banks (Pamela Gidley). Just as Desmond uncovers evidence that may reveal her murderer, however, he vanishes and the film fast forwards a year to cover the last seven days of the life of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). Though Laura is apparently an honors student at school, she also leads a sordid double life as a drug addict. Through her relationships with her two boyfriends, Bobby Briggs (Dana Ashbrook) and James Hurley (James Marshall) and the dark past she has with her father, Leland Palmer (Ray Wise), we learn the dark secrets that the town of Twin Peaks holds and the suffering that parents can inflict upon their children.
