Two Brothers is a 2004 adventure film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud. In 1920s Cambodia, two tiger cubs live a peaceful life with their mother and father in the ruins of an ancient temple. Their world is soon shattered when the chief of a local village sells one of the cubs to Zerbino (Vincent Scarito), the cruel ringleader of a circus. Zerbino names the cub Kumal and forces him to do tricks, beating the tiger when he will not perform. Soon, a hunter named Aidan McRory (Guy Pearce) kills the father of the cubs and injures their mother, forcing the remaining cub to flee. Raoul Normandin (Freddie Highmore), the young son of a French government official, soon finds the cub and takes him as a pet, naming him Sangha. When Kumal and Sangha meet once again as adult tigers, they attempt to escape their captors and flee into the wild with their old enemy McRory in hot pursuit. This heartwarming tale of brotherly love is an uplifting film for the whole family.moreless
