Uncertainty is a 2008 independent drama film written, produced, and directed by American independent filmmakers Scott McGehee and David Siegel. They released the movie in 2008 at the Toronto International Film Festival. Bobby (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Kate (Lynn Collins), a young couple in love and facing a life-altering decision find an ordinary 4th of July split in two by the flip of a coin on the Brooklyn Bridge. The green path takes them to Brooklyn where they spend a quiet day with Kate's family, coming to a better understanding of their status as a couple. The yellow path takes them to Manhattan, where a gunman chases after the two lovers and they fall into the center of a dangerous crime ring involving large amounts of money. As responsibility clashes with freedom, the young couple experiences two very different holidays. What would the uncertainty on this 'normal' 4th of July hold for Bobby and Kate?
