Under Still Waters is an intriguing 2008 psychological thriller centered around a married woman abnormally tormented by issues with her husband. Directed by Carolyn Miller, the film follows Charlie (Lake Bell) as she and her husband Andrew (Jason Clarke) take a much needed vacation to a lake house in a serene location. As Charlie and Andrew attempt to work through their problems, they are rudely interrupted by a strange man named Jacob (Clifton Collins Jr.) who overstays his welcome. There is something dark looming inside Jacob, and Charlie and Andrew begin to fear how safe they are once they catch on to his peculiar behavior. But the entertainment does not stop there - just when everything seems sorted, writer Carolyn Miller throws in a serious plot twist that not even the most clairvoyant could predict. Piecing together the plot is what makes this movie so much fun to watch. The ending definitely makes the entire movie worth watching!
