Universal Soldier II: Brothers In Arms is the second of four movies in the Universal Soldier line. The film features the same characters as its predecessor but the cast and crew are changed completely. The movie was directed by Jeff Woolnough and stars Matt Battagalia, Chandra West, Andrew Jackson, and Gary Busey. Universal Soldier II: Brothers In Arms revolves around a team of genetically augmented soldiers known as Universal Soldiers, or UniSols. The main characters are Luc Deveraux (Matt Battaglia) and Andrew Scott (Andrew Jackson). The characters killeach other at the end of the Vietnam War when Deveraux attempts to prevent Scott from needlessly killing the inhabitants of a small Vietnamese village. Deveraux turns on his superiors when the director of the CIA orders the UniSols to participate in a diamond smuggling operation. The soldiers then take members of his family and a friend hostage in hopes of regaining control. The film was written by Peter M. Lenkov and was released direct-to-video in 1998.
