Chief Deputy Marshall Samuel Gerard is escorting a prison transport plane when it crashes. After the crash, Deputy Gerard is assisted by a prisoner Mark Roberts a.k.a-Mark Sheridan. Together Deputy Gerard and Mark Sheridan help several trapped prisoners escape the wreckage. Aided by the commotion caused by the crash, Sheridan is able to disappear on his own. Realizing the prisoner is no ordinary prisoner and has escaped, Deputy Gerard and Special Agent John Royce vow to capture the convicted murderer and robber. Because of Sheridan's previous encounters with law enforcement the men know they will have to move quickly. Sheridan sees this as an opportunity to potentially prove his innocence. Can Sheridan stay ahead of the law long enough to clear his name or will the authorities be able to capture him and return him to prison?
