Utah is the story of Dorothy Bryant (Dale Evans), who has inherited her grandfather's ranch in Utah. But the singer enjoys her life in Chicago where she has a musical show with her group, the Melody Maids. The group is preparing a new show and they need cash to keep it going. They head west to sell the ranch, which Roy Rogers (played by himself) has been running since Bryant's grandfather died. When the girls arrive in Utah, Rogers and the ranch hands, the Sons of the Pioneers, direct them to the run-down ranch owned by Gabby Wittaker (George "Gabby" Hayes), thinking they'll be discouraged at how much work it would take to make the ranch profitable. The plan backfires when Bryant sells the real ranch for a fraction of its worth. When Rogers learns Bryant has been swindled, he heads to Chicago to try and set things right. Joining Rogers and Evans is Rogers' faithful steed Trigger. The movie was released in 1945 by Republic Pictures.moreless
