Vacancy is a 2007 thriller about David Fox (Luke Owen) and his wife Amy (Kate Beckinsale), two travelers who find themselves unexpectedly stranded in the middle of nowhere. Neither of their cell phones is able to pick up any signals, and David and Amy are filled with panic until they spot a motel. Although the place is dingy and isolated, the couple is just happy to have a place to send the night. The manager, Mason (Frank Whaley), seems anything but friendly, and David and Amy are ready to relax in their motel room and watch some television. David begins to notice something odd about the videos they find stashed in the room. At first he thinks they are just tasteless slasher movies, but he soon starts to recognize that the set exactly matches their current motel room. When David and Amy try to escape, they find themselves blocked at every turn by evil masterminds who want nothing more than to film the couple's death.moreless
