Movie Summary

Vigilante Force is a modern-day Western that moves along at a brisk pace and with a great deal of chaotic violence. Ben Arnold (Jan Michael Vincent) is fed up with the lawlessness of the oil field workers who live in his rural California town. He asks his brother, war-hardened Vietnam vet Aaron Arnold (Kris Kristofferson) to help him clean the town up, and Aaron arrives with a pack of surly friends who quickly bring the oil workers in line. But it doesn't end there, and slowly, the townspeople begin to see Aaron not as a hero, but as a bully and manipulator who is worse than the workers he has terrorized. Ben is the last one to see the reality, and continues to defend his brother long after it has become clear that Aaron is exploiting the town and its people for his own gains. Finally, the truth becomes clear to Ben: the brother he has always idolized must now somehow be controlled for the good of the town.moreless
