Viva Las Vegas is a 1964 romantic comedy directed by George Sidney. In the film, Lucky Jackson (Elvis Presley) is a playboy and professional race car driver. He is traveling to Las Vegas to participate in the city's first major race, the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Unfortunately for Lucky, his car is in need of an engine. However, Lucky sees this as a mild setback. As soon as he gets to Las Vegas, he gets a job as a waiter to earn the money quickly. While working at the restaurant, he is smitten with a beautiful young waitress, Rusty Martin (Ann-Margaret). Lucky earns the money, but is torn between racing and his new girlfriend. She wants him to slow his career down and he is not sure what he wants to do. Lucky's race car rival, Count Elmo Mancini (Cesare Danova), sees Lucky's dilemma as a weakness and moves in. Will Lucky chose the car, or the girl?
