Waiting for Caroline is a Canadian drama filmed in 1967. Director Ron Kelly and cinematographer Denis Gillson prove to be a complementary duo in the creation of this romantic film, with Gillson winning the Award for Best Colour Cinematography at the Genie Awards in 1968 for his contribution. The movie follows Caroline (Alexandra Stewart), an indecisive woman that is struggling to make some serious life choices. Does she return to her roots in the English-speaking city of Vancouver across the country and recommit herself to her ex-boyfriend, or does she stay in her current French-speaking home of Qu''bec and explore her new love interest? At the same time, she must devote her energy to showing support for her college friend's love affair and subsequent engagement with her father. Caroline puts off choosing between her two beautiful cultures and two handsome lovers as long as she can, and the men soon grow tired of her indecisive ways.
