Walking Tall: Part II follows Tennessee sheriff Buford Pusser (Bo Svenson) on his quest to fight crime and stop moonshiners. The film picks up where the original film, Walking Tall, left off. Pusser's wife has just been murdered, and now he and his trusty sidekicks are out to avenge her death. The movie series is based on the true story of an old south lawman by the same name, who worked to rid his small town almost completely of crime and corruption. Part II follows Pusser as he breaks up still operations along the river, seizes contraband, and eventually comes face to face with the man responsible for his wife's demise. The film also features Richard Jaeckel and Noah Berry Jr., and the series ultimately went on to become a trilogy. Part II was directed by Earl Bellamy and produced by Charles A. Pratt. It was released to wide audience praise in 1975.
