Wanda Sykes: I'ma Be Me is a 2009 stand up comedy television special featuring comedian Wanda Sykes. Sykes is a famous comedian and a three time Emmy Winner for her acting and comedy. She won her first Emmy in 1999 for her writing on 'The Chris Rock Show.' In 2004 she was named as one of the 25 funniest people in America by 'Entertainment Weekly.' She is also known for playing Barb on 'The New Adventures of Old Christine' and for her numerous appearances on HBO's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' 'I'ma Be Me' was the second full length stand up special to feature Sykes on HBO. It was filmed at the Warner Theatre in Washington D.C. In the performance Sykes jokes on such topics as health care reforms, President Obama, pirates, coming out as a lesbian, becoming a new mother, gay cruises, aging, and bikini waxing.
