War, Inc. is a 2008 political satire film which lampoons American involvement in the Middle East by placing its characters in the fictional country of Turaqistan. The plot follows troubled hitman Brand Hauser (John Cusack) as he completes one mission and receives a far more difficult one: kill the CEO of a major oil corporation so the United States can benefit from the war they are waging nearby. Although the assignment seems simple enough, the Vice President (Dan Aykroyd) complicates matters by revealing that Hauser must complete his goal while maintaining his cover as a popular trade show host. Now Hauser must not only pull off a successful trade show, but also produce the gala wedding of oversexed Middle Eastern pop star Yonica Babyyeah (Hilary Duff), all in addition to killing the CEO he is targeting. The farce of mishaps, incompetency, and greed that unravels throughout the film conceals a hard look at the modern American war machine.
