War of The Worlds is an American science fiction film made in 1953 and adapted from the beloved classic novel by H.G. Wells. While the original tale takes place at the turn of the 20th century, it is now modernized for the 1950's. Dr. Forrester, one of Earth's brightest scientist, spots a large meteorite crash land while on a fishing trip. Soon it unscrews itself revealing to be a spacecraft, one filled with angry aliens attacking anyone in sight. Soon meteors fall all over the world, ones containing killer heat rays and disintegration beams, giant robotic ones fully capable of wiping out all of Earth's armies. We are running out of options and even an atomic bomb can't slow them down. As humanity rushes to find a salve, many are kissing their butts goodbye. In the end you'll be surprised at what comes to the aid of the human race. This classic movie adaptation stars Gene Barry and Ann Robinson.
