Warpath is a 1951 Western film directed by Byron Haskin. The story revolves around cowboy John Vickers (Edmond O'Brien), who is in deep grief following the death of his dear fianc''e. Vickers is determined to seek revenge on the three men who murdered his beloved woman. He succeeds in tracking down and killing one of the criminals, who confesses before he dies that the other two outlaws have joined the Army's cavalry. The cowboy, a former officer himself, decides to do likewise and enrolls in a cavalry regiment to identify the other killers. After saving the pretty woman, Molly Quade (Polly Bergen), from brutal Sergeant O'Hara, Vickers starts to suspect that he might be one of the murderers. His road towards vengeance is complicated when they are captured by Sioux following a battle with the Indians. With little doubt about O'Hara left in his mind, Vickers has to decide between loyalty to the Army and his strong desire for revenge.
