Weekend at Bernie's 2 is a 1993 comedy, written and directed by Robert Klane, that begins when two junior insurance executives discover that their late boss has illegally stashed two million dollars before his death. Intent on claiming the money for themselves, Larry (Andrew McCarthy) and Richard (Jonathan Silverman), learn that Bernie (Terry Kiser) put the money in a small deposit box in the Caribbean and to get to it without any problems, it is part of their job to make sure that everyone at the company still believes that Bernie is alive. In the sequel to the popular 1989 film, the company's scornful head of security, Hummel (Barry Bostwick), is also along for the ride as he needs to find the money to save his job. The duo eventually steals Bernie's corpse from the morgue and then goes through a number of slapstick antics with the life-like corpse at the center of the action.
